Beer and Brewing
What are you brewing?
Ste is very proud of his pilot kit, and is constantly working on new recipes to throw through it and get beers into gobs ASAP for R&D purposes only (obvs). You'll often find beers in the taproom that are one offs, and aren't available anywhere else on the planet, whoooooooaaaaa. Grab Ste and ask him what's in the tanks if he's around
Are you kegging / canning?
We currently keg into Kegstar kegs, if you would like to buy us a canning line please let Ste know and he'll give you a huuuge hug
Events
Do you have live music on?
Indeed! We have a live acoustic performer on every Friday nights and that’s always free. Other gigs are advertised across our social media platforms
How do I know what events you have on?
We announce our events on our social media platforms and on our website. You can also sign up to our mailer to be kept up to date with our goings on
Do I need tickets for your events?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Most of our events such as Markets and Acoustic Friday’s are free and unticketed. We do mix it up and throw some ticketed events in there too though, we’ll always post on our event pages and link to tickets if you need them.
Are your events age restricted?
Some, yup. Our taproom is 18+ after 8pm anyway, so most gigs are 18+
Taproom
Where are you located?
We’re tucked into a trading estate in Longbeck, Marske by the Sea, just a 4 minute walk from Longbeck train station. Use postcode TS11 6HB to find us, or look out for Marton Windows, we’re opposite them
What are your taproom opening hours?
Our current opening hours are Friday 2pm - 10pm, Saturday 12pm - 10pm and Sunday 1pm - 6pm. We call last orders at the bar 30 mins before we close. We do sometimes stay open later for gigs or private events.
Do you do brewery tours?
Definitely something we’re going to be looking at starting up, this year hopefully. Ste loves talking about brewing though, so if you spot him round the taproom just ask him loads of questions.
Do you serve food?
We’ve very recently had a pizza oven installed, so yes, pizza it is! Check out our social media pages for updated menu's and specials.
Can we reserve a table?
We are able to reserve tables for you, depending on your group size and if we’ve got anything else going on during your visit. Always best to drop us a message or an email and we’ll get back to you.
Do you have a Code of conduct?
We’re dead sound people, the people we work with are dead sound, and so are the people who visit our taproom. We want to keep it this way, therefore we have a ZERO TOLERENCE for: racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, violence or harassment in any way shape or form. This policy applies to all of our employees, suppliers, contractors, and customers whilst on our property. We do expect that everyone acts with integrity, courtesy and respect towards others, or we reserve the right to remove you from our dead sound venue.
What else do you serve at the bar?
If you’re not a beer lover (and who are we to judge) then do not worry!! We got you covered. We also stock a selection of spirits and wines, soft drinks and non alcoholic beverages.
Everyone’s dead sound, can I come and work there?
Are you dead sound too?? Sounds like a match made in heaven. We’ll post job vacancies on our social media pages, but if you’ve got any grand ideas bubbling away drop us an email we’d love to hear them.
Private Hire:
Are you available for private hire?
You betcha! With a big open space like ours, you can make your party as extra or as chill as you like. We’ve got space for up to 120 guests and can also arrange extras such as live music and food. Hire prices are usually based on a minimum spend on the bar, and that varies depending on the day of the week of your event (and time of the year). Give us a shout on email to discuss your shindig, and we can arrange a chat with our Events Manager. If it’s a Wedding you’re looking at, we’ve got a brochure we can send over.
Access:
Do you have wheelchair access / disabled toilet?
We do!! There’s 1 very small step into our taproom, and we do have a wheelchair ramp available to use (with staff assistance). It would be awesome if we knew you were coming in advance so we could prepare access, but no dramas if not. Just stick your head into the bar and one of the team will be happy to help. We also have a disabled toilet.
Are dogs and kids allowed in the taproom?
Honestly, the highlight of our days are meeting your furry friends, please keep bringing them!! We do however appreciate it if your dogs are well behaved and kept on their leads. We’ll even reward them for this with free treats on our bar. Kids on leads would be great, but we understand that’s not really ethical, so as long as you keep them at your table with you we’re all good. We’ve got plenty of games to keep them amused. 18+ only after 8pm
